Aerial view of Cipriani Residences Miami at golden hour, the curved glass tower rising above Brickell with Biscayne Bay beyond

A Grand Vision · Arquitectonica

Venice and the water, drawn in glass.

Bernardo Fort-Brescia shaped the tower as one long curve, its glass terraces stepping outward toward Biscayne Bay as they rise.

Arquitectonica, founded in Miami in 1977 by Bernardo Fort-Brescia and Laurinda Spear, gave the tower a façade that never runs straight: it curves, and it cascades toward the waterfront.

The reference is nautical and Venetian at once. Terraces wrap each floor like the decks of an Italian yacht, edged in clear glass, and they grow more articulated the higher the tower climbs. From the avenue it stands as a gateway to the neighborhood; from the bay, as a single line against the sky.

The tower rises approximately 950 feet above Brickell. Thornton Tomasetti engineered the structure and Moss Construction built it; vertical construction is complete, the tower having topped off in July 2026.

The hands behind the house

Mast Capital, the Miami developer founded in 2006 by Camilo Miguel Jr., brought the Cipriani family and three design studios to one address on South Miami Avenue.

Its work includes Icon Brickell, One Ocean and Marea, and reaches to Chelsea Barracks in London. For the interiors it turned to 1508 London, where partner Hamish Brown leads the design: Italian terrazzo, mahogany lacquer, leather cut to measure and the signature blue of the house, under a chandelier of Murano glass. The sun terrace and its gardens are the work of ArquitectonicaGEO.

“…a home where people can experience the comfort of simple pleasures, timeless style and effortless living.” Giuseppe Cipriani, at the topping off of the tower

Giuseppe Cipriani, then his son Arrigo, then a second Giuseppe, and now a fourth generation: one family has kept the same house since 1931.

“True style is singular and timeless. It can be sensed but cannot be described.” Arrigo Cipriani

What began as one bar in Venice became a family of restaurants and lounges from New York to Hong Kong, and the manner never changed: a waiter in a white jacket, a table already set, a room where nothing weighs on the guest.

In Brickell the family does something it had not done in ninety-five years of hospitality: it stays. The restaurant, the bar, the concierge and the kitchen belong to the building, and to the people who live in it.
